Wedding season is officially OVER! I am off to stay at the Disneyland Grand Californian with a five year old in need of some serious mommy time. I woke up this morning happier that it was over than I have in past years and then quickly thought wait just a minute here. I may be tired but not a day goes by that I don’t appreciate the fact that I have one of the greatest jobs in one of the most beautiful places in the world. So while I am still struggling with becoming a full time working mom at 39 at least if I have to be one I’ve got a great job!
Jackie and Lee’s wedding was posted on a bunch of blogs a few months ago so I never posted it but I will now because it illustrates just how lucky I am. The trees below are made up of curly willow and 300 dendrobium and james story orchids. They were 10 feet tall and I stood on a ladder on one of the most breathtakingly beautiful days of the year. Looking out at the Pacific Ocean just attaching orchids for hours and hours and thinking as I looked out I LOVE my job. Since this wedding when ever a design just isn’t coming together how I envisioned it or my driver is MIA or my wholesaler sent a flower that is a shade to dark I think back to this wedding…. and I remember what it felt like to stand on that ladder looking out at the ocean and just lovin life.
